The eTACCHE project is a collaboration between five leading institutions in teacher education, cultural heritage, and digital innovation. Together, we combine regional expertise, diverse pedagogical traditions, and a shared commitment to inclusive, future-oriented education. Meet our partners from Germany, Estonia, Israel, Greece, and Romania – the heart of eTACCHE.
As project coordinator, LUE leads the project, drawing on its extensive experience in teacher education and virtual exchange. The coordinator is responsible for the overall design and implementation of eTACCHE.
LUE is a university-level institution of education located in Ludwigsburg, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Founded in 1962 in Stuttgart and relocated to Ludwigsburg in 1966, it is one of six Universities of Education in the state and holds university-equivalent status, including the right to award doctorates and habilitations.
The university offers a wide range of study programmes in teacher education, early childhood education, special needs education, educational science, cultural and media education, as well as several specialised and international master’s degrees. Its profile combines academic study with a strong emphasis on practical training for future educators across different school levels and educational contexts.
With around 5,700 students and a strong international orientation, the university is particularly attractive to students interested in education, intercultural learning and applied pedagogical research. It also offers English-taught and internationally focused programmes such as International Education Management and Europalehramt (European teacher education).
As part of eTACCHE, LUE also leads the creation of eTwinning project kits and coordinates the quality assurance and management of the consortium.
Gordon Academic College of Education is a leading institution in Israel, known for its focus on preparing future teachers and supporting the ongoing professional development of in-service educators. It offers Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and Master of Education (M.Ed.) degrees, including an M.Ed. in Innovation in Education, recognised by Israel’s Council for Higher Education. The college combines academic rigour with hands-on training, integrating modern technologies and innovative pedagogical approaches across its programmes. With a legacy of over 70 years, it has developed particular expertise in digital pedagogy, intercultural education and inclusive teaching practices.

The University of Crete contributes its expertise in e-learning and immersive technologies, with a strong focus on developing virtual cultural heritage experiences. It is a multidisciplinary, research-oriented public university that fosters a dynamic academic and social environment for both education and research. With campuses in Heraklion and Rethymno, it is firmly committed to academic excellence and innovation. Founded in 1973, the University welcomed its first students in the 1977–78 academic year. Today, it comprises 16 departments across five schools.
The University of Oradea is a comprehensive higher education institution comprising 15 faculties and five colleges. It serves more than 30,000 students across a wide range of study programmes, including short- and long-term courses, full-time and part-time study, as well as other forms of attendance. Its mission is to provide high-quality education and research within both national and international contexts, contributing to the social, professional and intellectual development of individuals, as well as to the cultural and social advancement of Oradea. With a strong background in European studies and intercultural education, the university also supports the integration of cultural heritage topics into teacher training.
